New general logo for an online Expert Witness Directory, incorporating a themed pictogram. A very challenging project, but immensely pleased with the result, as is the client, which always helps. Finding that 'apparently simple' solution proved painstaking, but when I look at the icon now, it looks so easy. Just create the Good Book/and or reference Directory out of the shape of a D, and place the left hand (giving oath etc) on it. Ta daaaa… Anything but ta daaaa tho. Fonts used for Witness Directory: Kefa II Pro Bold and tag-line: Zona Pro Italic, both purchased from Myfonts.

Internet portal - daily dose of motivation and inspiration for your healthy body and mind. Strength, diet, self esteem. When designing typography for the word "fitcult" I was inspired by the characteristics of the fitness (muscle, power, energy, dynamic). Custom lettering is a specific high contrast between horizontal and vertical strokes. The letter "f" and "i" are connected to the ligatures.

An image makes a thousand words. The magnifying glass, the pipe and its smoke send you thinking at Sherlock Holmes, the most inquisitive literature hero. They also fit pretty well as the letters in the text.

Fictional logo for an Adidas-themed résumé. This is in no way affiliated with Adidas.
Earlier this year, Adidas Originals had an open Design Director position in their Portland HQ, and, being a lover of the brand, I decided to apply. To demonstrate not only my skills as a graphic designer, but also my knowledge and respect for the adidas brand and its legacy, I designed a self-promo booklet (a highly-conceptual adaptation of my current résumé) that is aesthetically inspired by adidas Originals marketing brochures. The booklet chronicles the accomplishments of a fictional alter-ego, Coach Ramirez — an adidas track suit wearing, afro'd, mustachioed designer — and is written as if he's actually the Design Director at adidas Originals. Sadly, I didn't get the job.

Unused proposal for an education-based initiative to reconnect with participants of a 50 year-old national survey of high school student aptitude in math, reasoning, and language. The current initiative aims to share these participants' stories from the past 50 years, and the collected data could be used in a variety of academic, economic, sociological, and health-related ways.
This mark is steeped in uplifting, motivational symbolism. It's constructed such that it could represent two hands clasped, two birds in flight, or even one hand cradling or releasing a bird. The hand-drawn line quality, typography, and offset color evoke a nostalgic '60s feel. Unused proposal.

When you see, you act, so seeing is acting - a path to radical transformation. The Eye in Hand symbol is a multi-cultural expression of the interactive bond between two essential human functions: 1) Eye: sensing, knowledge, observation, omniscience (all-knowing), and 2) Hand: doing, power, acting, omnipotence (all-powerful). "It is only when you see the conditioning and the danger of it immediately, and as you see a precipice, that you act. So seeing is acting."
