SAWF

Proposed logo for the South Asia Women’s Fund. This logotype uses elements/forms from the vernacular scripts of the countries of South Asia that SAWF supports namely India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. (Devanagari from India and Nepal, Bangla from Bangladesh, Sinhala or Tamil from Sri Lanka and Urdu from Pakistan) The individual letters S,A,W and F are latin alphabets styled along the lines of the scripts Devanagari, Bangla, Sinhala and Urdu respectively. These different elements coming together to form a single, strong entity reflects an organization that has come together to stand as one for a cause. With tsk Design, Bangalore.

Katakali

Katakali is a lifestyle store in Marrakech retailing books and international lifestyle products. The logotype was inspired by the brand-story which revolves around the mystical lore of an explorer in the orient. The hints of calligraphy which are more intuitive than specific were used to give it a lyrical feel. With tsk Design.

Adam Films

With Adam Films we wanted to categorically move away from the clichés that the name Adam carries with it and we finally froze on ivy leaves which can be seen in historical depictions of Adam & Eve. These ivy leaves, concealing and revealing were in context to techniques used in traditional film making. Adam Films is a collaborative work with Sushil Chintak.

Milan Mela

The symbol is inspired from the huge outdoor tent that is so characteristic of a Mela* or Fair. It depicts a colourful tent made up of arrows converging which stands for the exhibitors and the consumers who come from different areas to meet under one roof. (Mela means Fair in Hindi)
