  • Newport Parish Council, on the Isle of Wight (UK), is holding an ‘in bloom’ competition in 2012 with a difference! Instead of judging gardens on how many flowers it has, or how glamorous it is, they are encouraging Newport and Carisbrooke’s residents to grow gardens that are good for wildlife and for the environment.Newport Bloomin' Green Competition Designer: shauncuff

Voice

Developed for a speech therapist & vocal coach based in UAE, I have developed both a Latin & Arabic typographic solution (see variations). Concept here is 'fun with pitch' - the green swirl represents travelling soundwaves, the yellow bar represents the golden note (or perfect pitch) with the blue bars representing the plus/minus discrepancy, so it’s about precision. There is also an implied smiley face, can you see it?

Genomics and Proteomics

Genomics and Proteomics is a new academic major at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University. The major focuses on the study of the genome and its relation to the creation of proteins.

The identity introduces a stylization of the well known DNA double helix. The crossings also refer to the relation of the two focuses of the major, as do the two colors. The green segment pays the respects to the natural origin of the major and to the production and generation aspectof the Genomics - Proteomics relation.
