Before putting pen to paper, I conducted an extensive study of competitive designs both locally in Egypt and globally, identifying visual trends, consumer preferences, and gaps in the market. This process was essential in crafting a design that stands out while authentically representing MAXELLO’s brand values: quality, indulgence, and modern elegance. The result is a bold yet refined packaging concept that captures attention through vibrant color blocking, clean typography, and a dynamic layout inspired by the layers of the cake itself. Every element was intentionally designed to communicate freshness, premium quality, and a contemporary twist on tradition. Unlike conventional confectionery packaging that leans heavily into nostalgia or overly sweet visuals, MAXELLO’s design speaks to a more sophisticated audience who appreciates aesthetics as much as taste. This was not a redesign — it was the very first packaging identity for MAXELLO Layered Cake, created to launch the product with a strong visual voice in a crowded market. The design successfully positions MAXELLO as a modern, aspirational brand that respects tradition but isn’t afraid to innovate.
